* Any person who was ordered to report to an induction station but was not actually inducted into military service

* Any person separated from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions or whose character of service results in a bar to veteran's benefits

* Former military members who completed at least one term of enlistment or period of initial obligated service in the Selected Reserve and departed under conditions other than dishonorable

* Former military members who served on active duty and departed under conditions other than dishonorable

Who is Not Eligible for Military Funeral Honors?

Unfortunately, not all veterans are eligible for military funeral honors. These include:

* Former military members discharged from the Selected Reserve due to a disability incurred or aggravated in the line of duty

* Military members on active duty or in the Selected Reserve

What Can You Expect from Our Military Funeral Honors?

At Unity Memorial Funeral Services, we offer a range of military funeral honors to ensure that every veteran is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. These may include:

* Full Military Honors: A ceremonial detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces

* 7-Person Detail: A team of seven service members who will render full honors

* Standard Honors Team Detail: A team of five or six service members who will provide a standard level of honors

Our military funeral honors include:

* The folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veteran's family

* The playing of Taps, either by a bugler or through a quality recorded version

Honoring Mary Margaret Womack

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Margaret Womack, a proud veteran who served her country with honor and distinction. Born on 'date', Mary Margaret passed away on April 14, 2023, at the age of 75.

Mary Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Roy Scott and Nannie Louise Edmonson Scott, and her husband Johnny L. She is survived by her daughters, Shelley Letinich (James) of Pascagoula, MS, Carman Mullins (Andy) of Fayetteville, TN, and Marsha Bain (Mike) of Madison, AL; grandchildren Ashley Kirby (Brandon), Zack Mullins, and Madison Womack; great-grandchildren Sadie Mullins, Jett Mullins, and Emily Grace Kirby; siblings Glennis Cole (Fred) of Madison, AL, Linda Farmer of Flintville, TN, Nancy Robinson of Fayetteville, TN, Renea DeMarco of Pulaski, TN, Teresa Scott of Flintville, TN, and Lynn Scott (Marcella) of Fayetteville, TN.

A celebration of Mary Margaret's life will be held at Unity Memorial Funeral Services in Fayetteville, Tennessee. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us as we pay our final respects to this remarkable woman.
